Privacy policy
This policy explains what data the AdSequel Shopify app ("AdSequel", "we") processes, why, and what choices you have. AdSequel is operated by Pirahas, a company registered in Türkiye.
1. Who this applies to
- Merchants who install AdSequel on a Shopify store.
- Store visitors who browse a store that uses AdSequel.
- Visitors to this website.
For store visitors, the merchant is the controller of their data and AdSequel processes it on the merchant's behalf.
2. Data we process
From your Shopify store (via the Shopify Admin and Storefront APIs)
- Store details: shop domain, store name, language, currency, and the contact email Shopify provides for the store owner.
- Catalog: products, variants, images, prices, inventory status and collections — used to build pages that show your real products and live prices.
- Orders: only the fields needed to tell whether an order came from a test visit (order and session identifiers, line items, totals, timestamps). We do not request customer names, email addresses, phone numbers or postal addresses.
From store visitors
- The campaign and ad identifiers in the visit's URL (UTM parameters), used to decide whether the visit belongs to a test.
- Anonymous counters per test version: page views, clicks, add to carts and orders.
- A test-version marker kept in the visitor's browser so the same visitor keeps seeing the same version.
We do not build visitor profiles, do not track visitors across stores and do not sell data. AdSequel follows Shopify's Customer Privacy API: where consent is required and not given, the visitor is not entered in any test.
From this website
This site uses no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts and sets no cookies. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and request time) for security. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the page loads.
When you contact support
Your email address and what you write to us.
3. Why we use it
- To provide the service: list your ads, generate ad-matched pages, run tests, measure results and publish winners.
- To bill you through Shopify and enforce plan limits.
- To keep the service secure and fix problems.
- To answer your support requests.
Legal bases (where GDPR or Türkiye's KVKK applies): performance of our contract with the merchant, our legitimate interest in running a secure service, and legal obligations.
4. AI processing
To generate a page, we send the selected ad's image and the relevant catalog information of your store to our AI provider, Anthropic. We do not send store visitor data or customer data. Anthropic processes this data to return the generated content and, under its commercial terms, does not use it to train its models.
5. Optional internal review
An optional internal review step is off by default. If it is switched on for your store, members of the AdSequel team can see tests waiting for review (the ad, the generated page and the target page) through a separate, access-controlled operator screen, solely to check them before they go live.
6. Service providers (subprocessors)
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Shopify | App platform, store data, billing |
| Cloudflare | Hosting, database and storage of app data |
| Anthropic | AI generation of page content |
| Google Fonts | Font delivery for this website |
Some providers process data outside Türkiye and the European Economic Area. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
7. Retention and deletion
- Test counters and generated pages are kept while your store uses AdSequel, so you can see past results.
- When you uninstall, Shopify sends us a deletion request (
shop/redact). We delete your store's data within 30 days of receiving it. - We respond to Shopify's customer data requests (
customers/data_request,customers/redact). Because we don't store customers' personal fields, these usually involve order identifiers only. - Support emails are kept for up to 24 months.
8. Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Each store's data is kept separate and one store can never see another store's data. Access by our team is limited to what is needed to operate and support the service.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, to object to or restrict processing, and to complain to a data protection authority (in Türkiye, the Personal Data Protection Authority — KVKK). Store visitors should contact the store first; we will help the merchant respond. To exercise your rights, email support@adsequel.com.
10. Children
AdSequel is a business tool and is not directed at children.
11. Changes
We will update this page when our practices change and change the date above. Material changes will also be announced in the app.
